My Priorities
Economy/Taxes
A vibrant economy is essential to the New Hampshire Advantage. Everyone of us works hard to earn a living for ourselves and our families. A responsible state budget allows families to keep more of their har-earned dollars. As your Representative I will continue to:
- Keep New Hampshire income tax free;
- Support Right to Work legislation;
- Work to reduce unnecessary regulations;
- Oppose taxpayer funding for abortion;
I have signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge that I will oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.
Pro-Life, Pro-Woman, Pro-Family
“We believe that life is sacred, from conception to natural death and that we cannot diminish the value of one category of human life without diminishing the value of all human life.” - NH GOP Platform
Current NH law allows abortion up until 6 months for any reason. After that point, it is only allowed in the case of fatal fetal anomaly. An ultrasound is only required when the gestational age of the baby is in question. Between 1997 and 2021 there was no restriction on abortion in New Hampshire.
“Women deserve better than abortion.” - Feminists for Life. I will fight for the right to life of every pre-born child. New Hampshire should maintain a culture of life and not allow the extreme passage of elective abortion in the 7th and and 9th months of pregnancy.
I will work to strengthen systems to support women, children and families in need. My legislation, HB 1584, expanded non-taxpayer funded access to childcare by increasing the number of children in a home daycare setting from 3 to 4. I also worked extensively on HB 1607 to expand the current Safe Haven law. Babies can now be surrender with anonymity and without question up to 61 days after birth.
I will continue to work to protect women’s spaces and to protect children from harmful surgeries and procedures.
Election Integrity
The Granite State is wonderfully unique among its New England neighbors. Essential to the NH Advantage is election integrity, therefore I fully support common sense measures to ensure that we accurately count one vote per eligible New Hampshire citizen.
I have signed the citizenship Pledge to Protect Our Vote.
Education
As a member of the House Education Committee, I have advocated for school choice, local control, transparency and accountability. I support Parental Rights legislation and the right of parents to determine the best educational option for their children. I voted to increase state educational funding by another $169.1 million and will continue to support public schools in addition to other educational options.
Second Amendment
All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state. Article 2-a NH Constitution.
Coming from a hunting and military family, I have significant respect for our second amendment. I am a member of the NRA and the Women’s Defense League of New Hampshire. I have voted on legislation to defend our second amendment rights and will continue to do so.
